When setting up an aquarium with CaribSea's dry products please rinse the substrate well, until the water runs clear or relatively clear! The susbtrate should be carefully placed on the bottom of the aquarium, and your preconditioned water should be added carefully. Cloudiness will be greatly reduced if a plate or empty bag is used to stop the water being added from disturbing the substrate underneath. Use the included BioMagnet packet to help clarify the water.

Each 8 oz. bottle removes at least 1.5 ppm in up to 250 gallons of water.

Each 1 Gallon Bottle removes at least 1.5 ppm in up to 4,000 gallons of water.

Add 1 capful (5ml) of PhosBuster Pro per 10 gallons of aquarium water. Place in the sump, near a powerhead outlet, or any high flow area of the system for rapid dispersal. Some temporary cloudiness will appear. Desired results should be achieved within 72 hours depending upon level of phosphates in the system. Keep all filters running during this time period then rinse or replace filter media. Retest water for phosphates and repeat treatment as needed. Each treatment will remove 1.0 ppm from aquarium water. PhosBuster Pro may be used monthly as part of a preventative maintenance program. Maintenance dose 1 capful (5ml) per 20 gallons.
Do not use in low hardness freshwater systems (for example, soft water Discus tanks). Before using PhosBuster Pro in a marine aquarium, measure pH (must be at least 8.2) and alkalinity (must be at least 3.5 meq/l or 10dkh). Measure phosphate before using, and do not use if levels are below 0.1 ppm, or if phosphate levels do not need to be below 0.1 ppm for tank occupants. If phosphate is over 5ppm, use half a dose, and add the second half dose at least 24 hours later. If large amounts of green algae are present, remove as much as possible before adding PhosBuster Pro. Use PhosBuster Pro near the end of your light cycle.
